Have a great summer! We are end of the year tired but are thankful for the journey!

Congratulations to our Kindergarten students for completing their first year of big school. A full album of each class is posted on Facebook on the Clarence Cannon Elementary page.

We cannot thank the Elsberry PTO enough for providing us Spring Fling. What an incredible way to end a school year! It is always described as "the best day ever!"

Today our students celebrated academic achievements with an ice cream treat!

Mrs. Clote's first grade class had a beach day today. The students completed a beach themed escape room with various puzzles to finish in order to “escape”.

Reminder, we are in session on Monday, May 20.

Did you have a favorite jump rope song? Our students are practicing their jump rope skills.

Return those library books!

Congratulations to our Elsberry Girls on the Run participants, coaches, and running buddies, for completing the #GOTRSTL5K! The lessons Girls on the Run have learned will last so much longer than one season and they’ll walk away from today knowing they can do anything they set their minds to. The finish line is just the beginning!! 🏆🫶🏼💫

Bus Drivers are so important and we have some of the best! Thank you to our transportation team for always going above and beyond for our students!

Our students sure are lucky to have a School Resource Officer who goes above and beyond to keep us safe and knows how to have fun! Thank you SRO Julie Conner for the popsicles today!

Thank you PTO and Senate Theater for spoiling our staff today with a popcorn bar.

Mrs. Kaimainn's year end alphabet countdown continues. Too bad we all didn't know yesterday was P for Popsicle. Her students enjoyed a popsicle on the playground in addition to other "p" activities.

Mrs. Ogden's fifth graders went to read to Mrs. Clote's first graders.

Thank you PTO for providing lunch today from Don Julio's!

Mrs. Jolene Hatcher serves all the students and staff at the Elsberry R-2 School District. Not only does she deal with sickness, she monitors daily meds, immunization records, schedules the dental clinic and vision van, and does CPR and First Aid training. This is just the tip of the iceberg of all the things she does day to day. Nobody looks forward to a call from the school nurse, but we are very lucky to have Mrs. Hatcher on our staff.

We are celebrating Nurse Hatcher throughout the District today on National School Nurse Day. When Mrs. Hatcher is not at school she enjoys camping and spending time with her family. Thank you for all you do each day Jolene!

Our SRO is the best! SRO Conner participated in dress like a student day and provided a snack cart to our staff for teacher appreciation week. Thanks for providing all of the extra fun and treats!

We are hiring a teacher for the Braves program! The ideal candidate is a certified teacher who works well with students of all abilities and can help students stay engaged, organized and current with classwork. BRAVES teachers work together to create a supportive environment for struggling learners in grades 7-12. They provide academic academic support and tutoring for all subjects, provide guidance and strategies to students on how to be successful at school, and communicate daily with teachers throughout the building. Candidates should be well organized, able to assist students in all subject areas, and able to work with a wide variety of students and staff.
