Students learn concepts such as needs vs. wants, economics, career exploration and community resources. We are very thankful for the volunteers who presented JA to our students. Mother Nature just took a leap from warm to frigid. Make sure you send a coat daily. We go outside for recess as long as the temperature is in the safe zone. Sometimes we do cut recess in half due to the cold, but we make every effort to get fresh air daily. You are welcome to send a hat and glove also if your child prefers to be extra bundled. If you need assistance getting a winter coat* for your child please reach out to Mrs. Bange, secretary, at ext. 215 or email Mrs. Maiuro, counselor, at kmaiuro@elsberry.k12.mo.us Also, If you have any gently used or new winter coats you would like to donate, we are happy to get them into houses that could use them. Contact Mrs. Bange or Mrs. Maiuro for that as well. *A hoodie is not considered a winter coat for recess
