Each week a small group of EMS Junior Honor Society students volunteer at the St. Joachim and Ann food pantry in Elsberry. This is a great example of service learning, which is an opportunity for our students to give back to the community.

Little Indians Cheer Clinic - ONLY PREREGISTERED STUDENTS MAY ATTEND Saturday 2/11/2023 Drop Off: 9:00am Pick Up: 12:00pm They will receive a snack and drink Please come dressed in comfy clothes and tennis shoes, and have hair up and out of the face. Little Indians Performance will be Monday, February 13, 2023 during halftime of the Varsity Girls Game.

Robotics students are using the Clawbots they built to compete in four different arenas. Too bad you can't hear the victorious cheering and frustrated groans through the pictures.

Mark your calendars for trivia on Friday, March 31, from 6-8 p.m. All proceeds benefit Operation Backpack which provides weekly food support to students throughout the Elsberry School District.

In honor of National School Counselors Week we wanted to give you a sneak peak at a day in the life of Mrs. Hagemeier. A typical day for Mrs. Hagemeier as EMS counselor - greeting students - enrolling new students - updating student information - meeting with students in crises - goal setting with struggling students - classroom visits and lessons - coordinating outside counseling agencies - parent phone calls and meetings - teacher meetings and professional development - visiting with students during lunch - middle school testing coordinator duties - E2 site coordinator, after school program

The ESD works with multiple local agencies to help meet the needs of our students. During National School Counselors week we wanted to recognize the extra counselors that come into our buildings to support our students. We are thankful for the extra support services and resources these organizations and individuals provide. These services are paid for by the Lincoln County Resource Board via local sales tax dollars. Kim Jones has been a member of the Elsberry School District staff for 23 years. She is also a class of 1984 Elsberry Alumni. She hopes all of her students remember that she was there for them if they needed something.
