Eighth grade students are busy in ELA participating in active story discussions and analysis. All 7th and 8th grade students are encouraged to have a book with them at all times at school. Please ask them what they are reading or drop some suggestions in the comments.

EMS offers a variety of electives. Robotics is a STEM elective that incorporates science, technology, engineering and math. Students enjoy the engineering experience even if it is just a chance to learn how to use the pieces during the first week.

Today, August 24, the EMS and CCE Title I staff traveled to the EdPlus building in St. Louis to learn about the latest legislation from DESE. The team met and collaborated with various school teachers and administers to ensure that our literacy approach is both comprehensive and aligned with Missouri’s expectations.
