
Robotics students are experimenting with gear ratios for a tug of war project.





Students in Mrs. Grossner's new drones class were using their devices to spot sharks along the shoreline of Maui to alert the Coast Guard and swimmers of sharks in the area. During this simulation they practiced yawing and hovering with their drones.











Have you heard about our new elective? Mrs. Grossner is teaching drones class this quarter. Students are working on measurements, planning routes, and "blind" flying to complete specific tasks.

Congratulations to Brooklyn Harris, Chloe Clemonds and Samantha Burns for being selected to audition for the Northeast Missouri Select Band. These students will return to Moberly later this month to participate in the NEMO select concert.


We are so thankful for our school counselors! We are blessed to have Tori Towery, high school, Summer Hagemeier, middle school, and Katelynn Maiuro, elementary, on our staff. This year we were also able to add Drew Peterson to our staff with the support of the Lincoln County Resource Board.


Join us for School Spirit Day on Friday, February 7! Students are encouraged to wear red and white or their favorite Elsberry gear! The Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys are playing the Homecoming game on Friday, February 7 vs. North Calloway at 5:30 p.m. Coronation will held between games.


Mark your calendars for Fine Arts Night and Chili Supper on Thursday, February 13. It is a wonderful evening of art and music. All proceeds support fine art programs throughout the District.


The Girls on the Run spring season is about to start! Girls in grades third through fifth grade are welcome to attend. Registration is open until February 23.

EMS students who earned the Renaissance trip went bowling this week. A total of 87 students qualified to attend.

Students in grades K-5 are invited to join us for the STEM Saturday on January 25. Students can be dropped off at 9 a.m. at the Elementary Doors. Pick up time is 11:30 a.m. at the elementary doors.The admission fee is one box of kid friendly food such as granola bars, pop tarts, snack cakes or you can make a $5 donation. All donations go to Operation Backpack and benefit students in the Elsberry School District. Students will be participating in a variety of activities including robotics, engineering, art, design and more.


Today was the first day students at EMS and EHS were able to order items from the a la carte menu. Students can use their account balance or cash to pay for items. Attached are the choices and prices.


Music Students grades 6-12 are selling Shakespeare's Pizzas with the goal of raising enough to customize a recently donated band trailer!
Individually, students can get a free ticket to see a musical at the Fabulous Fox theatre by selling 20 pizzas. The pizzas are scheduled to arrive at 5pm on February 13th (this is also Elsberry's Fine Arts Night!).

Mrs. Hartley has the sixth grade art classes working on a project that goes with their study of Greek history. In art they are working on perspective, hatching, cross hatching and stippling.
