Junior Honor Soceity is growing. Twenty-Nine new members were inducted this month making the group have a total of fourty-nine members. JHS is busy working at the food pantry, book fair, and doing other various community activities. Mrs. Jill Koch and Mr. Jason Miller sponsor JHS. The photos are from the induction ceremony.

Tavia McIntyre is in her fourth year at Elsberry Middle School. She is a Lindenwood University Grad. Her newest project is organizing our EMS Pep Club. We are excited to see the growing student section at basketball games.

Cuivre River State Park has been visiting our 5th grade students during science. One visit was about adaptations and the students completed a bird beak experiment. Using household items as beaks, students got to see what type of food was easier and hardest to eat with their particular beak.
World Prematurity Hat Day on Thursday, November 17. Bring $1 and your favorite hat to participate. All money collected will go to a family who has a premature baby in the NICU during the holidays.

The EMS Student Council members did an excellent job organizing and speaking at our Veterans Day celebration. Students joined their Veterans for breakfast in the cafeteria. Next Mrs. Lynne Watson shared her story as a Marine. The EHS Band and the Treblemakers Honor Choir both performed multiple pieces. Duncan Whiteside concluded the assembly by playing Taps. We appreciate everyone who made this day possible and were thrilled by how many Veterans were able to attend. The people listed below deserve special recognition. EMS Tournament Information, November 7-10
Our EMS Medical Detective students were dissecting sheep brains today. Mrs. Jones teaches this middle school elective. During the course students apply experimental design, creative thinking, and problem-solving to investigate the inner workings of the human body, diagnose disease, and improve human health.
Save the date! The Christmas Program directed by Jenny Lynn Heras will be Thursday, December 1 at 6:30 p.m. All students in grades K-3 are invited to perform as well as the Treble Makers honor choir made up of students in grades 4-6.
